We added lots of new functionality to Dalet Flex at the end of 2020, with new features enhancing asset and metadata management capabilities and additional plugins for greater automation in advanced media workflows.
Here's a summary:
More plugins and services
SpectraLogic BlackPearl Integration: Extending on our range of archive options, Dalet Flex is now integrated with SpectraLogic’s RioBroker API. Providing 3 new plugins to archive, restore and delete.
Support for partial file restore is also supported when set up on the BlackPearl deployment.
Checksum Plugin: which allows checksums to be computed on single assets as well as package assets ensuring the integrity of content through the media operations.
Image Transcode Plugin: Image transcodes and images proxies can now be created utilizing the Flex Stream Processor (FSP), this includes enhancements such as CMYK color-space support.
Enhanced audio asset support
We hear you! There’s new functionality so that working with content that features audio tracks is easier.
Permitted users can update the label and language of an audio track.
Determine the order in which audio tracks appear.
Synchronize player audio selection and timeline ordering.
Audio highlighting to indicate current position of playback.
The metadata you need, when you need it
Administrators can now archive an individual tag or taxon. This means that data which was true in the past can persist in existing records and remain searchable, but cannot be added to new records.
Administrators can now select a default display setting of either ‘collapsed’ or ’expanded’ for complex metadata field groupings (known as a complex). This will help users navigate quicker to the specific metadata they need.
Support for service users
Ability to execute workflows and actions on behalf of standard users. This allows greater security by applying a reduced permission set to general users.
Ability to set permissions governing the API communication with other technology.
Easier inbox resource setup
A storage resource can now be associated with multiple inbox resources. This lets you upload and trigger different workflows for multiple content types from the same storage location. The result? Save time in setup and configuration!
