We are excited to announce the availability of a new major Dalet Flex release, 2021.12.0 LTS (Long-term Support). With enhanced integrations between Dalet Flex and non-linear editing systems such as Adobe® Premiere® Pro and Avid Media Composer, this release brings significant advancements to Dalet Flex’s capabilities in multimedia production workflows. Keeping up the momentum of our mid-year release, this delivery also includes yet another set of improvements to search capabilities.
Here's a summary of what's new:
Level up your remote editing capabilities
After its full revamp mid-2021, FlexXTEND, Dalet Flex’s panel for Adobe Premiere Pro, is getting a major upgrade geared towards remote editing.
With the option for editors to trigger rendering of their sequences on a remote Adobe Media Encoder right from FlexXTEND, media movements can be kept to a minimum to ensure remote work really works:
Flexibility - Connect Adobe Premiere Pro to your Dalet Flex library, edit from anywhere
Performance - Proxy editing and working with lighter files enable a better user experience, even with limited or unstable connectivity
Reduced costs: save on data transfer costs by eliminating the need to download heavy files to users’ workstations
Bring NLE sequences to your central repository
Discover Dalet Flex’s new exchange capabilities with non-linear editors:
Collaboration - Start your shot selection in FlexMAM and export it as AAF or FCP XML to continue post-production in the non-linear editor of your choice
Project management - Import sequences from non-linear editors into Dalet Flex, to catalogue and manage them into a central library not only for media files, but also for projects from Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro
Storage optimization - Save on storage costs by improving the archive and restore processes of your production assets. Thanks to Dalet Flex’s ability to analyze sequences upon import, you can now trigger workflows on all media files used on a sequence in one click
Welcome camera cards
Ever faced difficulties managing the lifecycle of media files coming from camera cards? Think complex folder structures and clips spanning across several files… Discover a new Dalet Flex object dedicated to camera cards management. Paired with an improved integration with Dalet AmberFin Kiosk, you can now ensure camera cards are well integrated into your content supply chain, from ingest to archive.
Improved management - Assets from a card are now gathered under a consolidated package in your library, making it easier for users to find, organize, and share
Better user experience - Spanned clips are now represented as single assets, despite being stored across different files
Efficient processes - Archive or restore a whole card in a single action
Search supercharged!
Efficient search capabilities are key to maximize the value of your asset library and improve the overall user experience. We are excited to bring key improvements to Dalet Flex’s state-of-the-art search engine:
