2021 kicked off with a flying start, with many new features that enhance Dalet Flex’s production capabilities and deployment options, greatly improving remote and hybrid operations. We are at our mid-year milestone and pleased to announce the release of the Long Term Supported version, 2021.5 (LTS).
Here's a summary of what's new:

Saved searches for common queries.
Both thumbnail and list view for browsing and searching for content.
Ability to preview Video, Image and Audio content before importing to your project.

Distributed services
Micro-service for micro-deployments. Connect your distributed sites on-premises, in the cloud or in different regions with a bundle of key Flex services that facilitate media movement and processing without the need to move the large files to the central deployment. Directly saving time and money, while scaling your distributed operations and phasing to cloud deployments.
Key services included
Flex File Processing (FFP) Service: allows for file operations such as media movement, checksum and TARing.
Flex Stream Processor (FSP) Service: allows for media processing operations such as proxy creation and technical metadata extraction.

Search improvements
The needle in the haystack has been found. Dalet Flex’s leading metadata and search capabilities have been further extended with support for:
Conditions: Search with even more focus when making an advanced search queries with support for “Contains”, “is”, “is not”, “starts with”, “ends with”, “is empty” and “is not empty” conditions
Operators: Users can now set individual AND or an OR operator between single or grouped criteria.
Grouping: Advanced search chips have been updated to clearly group together criteria with common keys such as “Type is Video” and “Type is Image”. The grouping will display in two colors depending on an AND or an OR operator set within the group.
Share Search: Users can now share their saved searches with other users, groups and all of users of the system via an ACL (access-control list) panel. Shared searches appear in a dedicated area under saved searches.
Workflow versioning
Fine tune the well-oiled machine. Flex now provides the ability to continuously work on workflow definitions before they are promoted to production version. Providing greater flexibility when evolving your workflows as your business requires.
Draft workflow definitions will not be used when launching new workflows, rather Flex will refer to the latest deployed version of the workflow definition.
When editing a workflow definition, users can choose between “Save” and “Save and Deploy” to either save a draft or save a new version to be used in subsequent workflow executions.
