Keeping up the momentum of our mid-year 2021.5 (LTS) milestone, we are excited to announce the release of a major power-up, 2021.5.1 (LTS). This release comes with some significant advancements to Dalet Flex’s user experience when working with metadata and audio in addition to some control layers to your workflow orchestration.
Here's a summary of what's new:
Something big to shout about
Audio preview just got a big upgrade. Users can now toggle between previewing individually selected tracks and previewing multiple selected tracks (up to 16). This is especially useful when your audio is on isolated mono tracks that only make sense when previewed together.
Users can now easily update the audio tracks name in place. Simply select the edit icon and type the appropriate audio to represent the audio track
Improved experience when dragging the playhead along the timeline, in addition to the In/Out handles when marking a region for clips, comments or markers
Waveform highlighting clearly identifies active tracks
The audio label width can easily be expanded with drag and drop operations
Control the narrative
Dalet Flex metadata has been supercharged with thesaurus functionality. When curating metadata, you can now control keyword entry with suggestive alternatives that exist in the records. Ensuring consistent, quality metadata exists in your system and content retrieval is easily achieved in searches.
Type-ahead presentation of term suggestions
Present on advanced search chips, table headers and metadata form entry where thesaurus has been configured
User-prompted value suggestion while entering metadata and when searching for values
Support for capitalization, spaces and special characters are supported in thesaurus terms
Make your mark!
Bulk metadata updates and actions can now be applied to markers which represent key events during the content. A simple [CTRL]+[Select] and drag & drop to hot zones triggers the actions. This is extremely useful if you wish to quickly add a large number of clips to a collection to share with your editors or change / apply metadata at mass.
Concurrent workflow quotas
Dalet Flex now allows you to determine a concurrency limit for your running workflows. This allows you the ability to determine the logic that governs which workflows should get the most access to the system resources. Their concurrency can be configured as follows:
Total concurrent workflows across the platform
Total concurrent workflows of a specific definition across the platform
Total concurrent workflows of a specific definition within an account
